We are proud and excited to announce the opening of our newly renovated main computer lab! We worked closely during the entire process with ISE undergraduate students and instructors on the planning and design of the room to accommodate the broad spectrum of our student’s computing needs. The room is set up to handle classroom instruction, group work, meetings and video conferencing. We have an HD projector and multiple flatscreen displays ceiling-mounted to ensure students have a clear view of instructional content. Touch-screen all-in-one Dell computers round out the technology available in the room.
We engaged student groups early on in the process to get feedback and ideas on what they would want in a new computer lab. Once we collected some surveys, conducted some planning meetings, and compiled the results, we worked with a local office design company (Loth, Inc) who turned the ideas into some prospective room designs. The ISE students picked out all of the furnishings and finishes at the Loth, Inc showroom. We are all looking forward to many years of usage and continuous improvements to our facilities!
