Best Dissertation Award

  • Hamed Rahimian (Ph.D. ’18), 2019 Pritsker Best Dissertation Award, 2nd Place, Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineering (IISE),  for the dissertation entitled “Risk-Averse and Distributionally Robust Optimization: Methodology and Applications,” (Adviser: Guzin Bayraksan)

Best Paper Awards

  • Xuan Wu (Ph.D. ’18), 2020 Best Paper Award, IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, for the paper jointly with Antonio Conejo entitled  “Security-constrained ACOPF: Incorporating worst contingencies and discrete controllers,” IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, vol. 35, no.3, pp. 1936-1945, May 2020  (Adviser: Antonio Conejo)
