Schneider, Todd

Biography

Todd Schneider is a lecturer in the Integrated Systems Engineering department at The Ohio State University teaching Design of Work (ISE 2400). 

He is also a Lean Advisor in the Lean Promotion Office for OhioHealth, an 12-hospital system based in Columbus, OH. He has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering & Management from North Dakota State University and has a Master’s in Business Administration from Florida State University.

Todd was exposed to Lean manufacturing principles at Boston Scientific, and has spent his career applying these concepts and other industrial engineering tools to healthcare settings to improve clinical, operational, and financial outcomes. His career spans pediatric, for-profit, and not-for-profit health systems.  He previously served as an examiner for Florida's Baldrige-based quality award. 

Todd is a Senior Member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, a Fellow in the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, and is a Diplomate and past-President of IIE's Society for Health Systems.  In 2013, Todd was recognized with a Distinguished Member award from SHS and was the 2015 recipient of the SHS/HIMSS Excellence in Healthcare Management Engineering/Process Improvement Award.
