Güzin Bayraksan Elected Chair of the Stochastic Programming Society

ISE Associate Professor Güzin Bayraksan has been elected as the chair of the Stochastic Programming Society.

The Stochastic Programming Society (SPS) is a world-wide group of researchers and practitioners who are developing and applying models, methods, theory, and software tools for decision making under uncertainty. SPS promotes the development and application of stochastic programming theory, models, methods, software tools and standards, and facilitates the advancement of knowledge and exchange of information through its triennial conferences and specialized workshops.

As chair, Bayraksan will lead the SPS governing board, the Committee on Stochastic Programming (COSP). Bayraksan will serve as chair from 2019-2022.
