Fundamentals of Product Design Engineering (5682)

Description

  • Lecture covering the fundamentals of the product design process, from concept creation to final implementation, including product architecture and design for manufacture and assembly. An optional, corresponding project-based lab course (ME/ISE 5683) offers practical application of this material. Only open to students enrolled in majors in the College of Engineering. Prereq: Jr, Sr, or Grad standing in the College of Engineering, or permission of instructor. Not open to students with credit for 5682 (682), 5682.02, 5560, IndEng 682, MechEng 5682 (682), or 5682.02. Cross-listed in MechEng. Units: 3 credit hours.
