Overview

Cathy Xia's research focuses on using stochastic models and probabilistic analysis to provide insights and solutions for efficient design, control and performance optimization of complex networks and systems in practice. Methodologies include but not limit to: stochastic processes, queueing theory, asymptotic analysis, scheduling, dynamic pricing, distributed control, adaptive learning. Applications include: cloud computing, big data analytcis, communication networks, cyber-physical systems, smart grid, and green transportation.
